CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS....WHEN I CREATE A NEW LAYER HOW DO I GET A BLACK BACKGROUND IN THE LAYER IMAGE? urba@earthlink.net

URSA, you want to fill the layer with black. With the layer selected, choose Edit > Fill. Then choose the color black. All done :)
