Metadata is a set of standardized information about your image. Examples are: author name, resolution, copyright, and keywords. Most digital cameras attach some basic information to an image file, such as height, width, and time.

The history log allows you to track what’s been done to a file in Photoshop. You can view the Edit History Log metadata using Adobe Bridge or the File Info dialog box.
