Hello everyone!
How are you all?
We haven't been properly introduced. I'm Roger Mota, co-founder of this place I now call home. Ben Osborne (benster) is my fellow co-founder.
Ben makes sure the buttons you click, the messages you post, and the videos you watch actually work, though he'd say that's a gross oversimplification of what he does around here. Ben's the rock start programmer.
As for me, you all already know my voice, and I'm here to help you become a Photoshop rock star... at least someone who knows how to make photos look better (not worse!), and perhaps even get you to say "I can do that" when you see an ad.
We're all here to learn, including myself. So please, don't be shy, introduce yourself and start up a discussion, ask a question, get busy learning.
And to that effect, we've got some news:
NEW SUBFORUM
We've got a new subform called Introduce Yourself. It's pretty self explanatory :)
You can put in anything you want (name, age.... number of goldfish you own) but it'd be nice to know how long you've been using Photoshop, what you use it for, what you hope to learn from the site. And very interesting, what you hope to be able to do in Photoshop in 6 month's time. It'll be really cool to catch up and see how much progress you've made.
NEW PROFILE INFO
We've added two new tid bits you might find useful to fill out:
- The operating system you use
- The version of Photoshop use
These will show up on your public profile and next to every forum post. Go fill your info out!
NEW TERM DESCRIPTIONS
You may have already noticed this, when you've on the Tutorials page, some of the text in the description of the tutorials will be in a bold blue color. Move your mouse over the term and you'll get a nice concise explanation of what it means or how to use it in Photoshop. I'm still slaving away adding the descriptions but there a number of them up already. Check them out and let us know what you think!
THE TRAINING
As you most certainly know, at the moment we have 12 months' content of Photoshop "Essentials" training. 10 tutorials a month is our recommended pace to really let the information sink in and allow you time to put your new skills to good use. But please do feel free to go at a pace that you feel you can handle.
We're working very hard to increase the number of tutorials in the coming months to bring you the beginning bit, Photoshop "Basics," as well as more topic driven tutorials such as Photo Retouching and Photoshop for Web Design.
Please do chime in and let us know what you'd be interested in learning.. HDR in depth? Using Camera Raw? Graphic design? How to fake a moon landing? ;)
Ok, I'll stop babbling now. Back to term description slavery for me!
Rog

Hi Roger, I'm looking forward all that you've mentined above. I'm very excited and glad I'm a member here. Thank you for all that you and Ben are doing for us.
By the way, my real name is Melissa, but I go by "Fancy" on the internet. :-)
